    If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Turtle Pond. Turtle Pond gets lots of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. After a long day outdoors THE HOTEL SARANAC is a brilliant place to spend a night or two; you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the McKenzie Pond Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. McKenzie Brook  
   is a brilliant spot to have a look at, and Turtle Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Donaldson George A and Sons is a wonderful local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. One of the principal traits of the surroundings of Turtle Pond is Baker Mountain; you can never get enough of the magnificent skiing at Whiteface Mountain. Why not explore Moody Bay also while you're here, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Schwartz
 
               Trail. During the summer here at Turtle Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Turtle Pond.
Going for a hike along the Indian Pass Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ausable River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mount Pisgah is one of those things you just have to do, and get wet paddling on Cold River. And that's not all you can do here at Turtle Pond. There's so much to do here at Turtle Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Pioneer Village is a splendid location for that; if you're visiting from Malone, you won't be the only one.
All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. A good close by hotel is Best Western Mountain Lake Inn; a charming lake like Lake Flower is a perfect site to take a look at. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area near Turtle Pond has to offer. Do take a look at Oseetah Lake in the vicinity of Turtle Pond, it's a wonderful lake; Saranac Lake Golf Club is a perfect golf course close by. Turtle Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains.
