     New York has many beautiful lakes and Turtle Pond is one of them. Best Western Mountain Lake Inn is a delightful site to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is nice on Ausable River - West Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Saranac Lake Golf Club is a brilliant golf course nearby, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Whiteface Mountain. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Adirondack Mountains.
The Schwartz Trail
 
   offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at THE HOTEL SARANAC. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Turtle Pond. A brilliant panorama of picturesque Baker Mountain is available from Turtle Pond; you're sure to bump into some great folks from Malone here. Moody Bay is nearby and always great to pop by, and tremendous skiing awaits you at Mount Pisgah.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Turtle Pond a wet place; August is
 
               the month that gets the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Turtle Pond, you could also go to gorgeous Moody Pond; a good place to camp here at Turtle Pond is Pioneer Village. High temperatures at Turtle Pond through the months of summer are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Turtle Pond throughout the winter generally fall into the 0's.
Any time is a nice time at Turtle Pond if you like the outdoors. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Turtle Pond; Indian Pass Trail is a good local trail, and Cold River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Take a little spree to McKenzie Brook since you're here at Turtle Pond, and camping is available at Donaldson George A and Sons. That right there is plenty of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. Do visit Lake Flower in the neighborhood of Turtle Pond, it's a stunning lake; splendid hiking is available along the McKenzie Pond Trail.
