This is a nice area for folks who like lakes. Lake Kitchawan is a lake in close proximity, and you can stay the night at Mountain Workshop. While you're here at Trinity Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and while you're here at Trinity Lake, checking out Raven Rocks is a must. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are brilliant; Browns Reservoir is a lake that's       in close proximity to Trinity Lake; you can hit the slopes at Thunder Ridge close at hand. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Trinity Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Trinity Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Sheraton Stamford Hotel, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Norwalk River. After a long day outdoors Roger Sherman Inn (Le)                  is a good location to spend a night or two. Trinity Lake truly is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Pound Ridge Golf Club is a glorious golf course nearby. There's so much to do here at Trinity Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Kiwi is a perfect place for that.
