Tomar Pond is a pretty wet place frequently with lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August while February is mostly the driest month. This location, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. If you came to camp Robinson's Iga is a magnificent spot to do that; the Sixmile Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity       to Tomar Pond. Do have a look at Colvin Pond close to Tomar Pond, it's a picturesque lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Tomar Pond; Ash Pond Trail is a splendid local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. At Tomar Pond during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 20's while the cold                  winter nights at Tomar Pond are in the 0's. You get a great vista of Tomar Mountain from Tomar Pond, and there are some good whitewater spots on Oswegatchie River - East Branch. So much cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not enough time. McCauley Mountain is a good local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Browns Tract Pond State Campground is always a good experience; if you're here, you could also go to stunning Nehasane Lake.
