Tomar Pond is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Tomar Pond all through the summertime months are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Tomar Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack       Mountains. If you need a place to stay Stone Manor is a great choice, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Sixmile Creek Trail. This spot is excellent, just explore all the fun stuff to do in close proximity to Tomar Pond. Camping at Tomar Pond is good fun, Robinson's Iga is a good local campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Big Deer Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Oswegatchie River                  - East Branch in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Ash Pond Trail. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. If you get bored of Tomar Pond, you could also pop by nearby Grass Pond, and Eagle Bay Village Chalets Ctgs is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Tomar Pond is a rather wet place generally with a good deal of rainfall; during August this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Tomar Pond is a wonderful place to camp, Cape Woods Campground is a wonderful place, and the slopes of McCauley Mountain are so inviting noone can resist.
