     Visit Titicus River while you're here at Titicus Reservoir, and while you're here, you could also visit pretty Lake Katonah. Golf can be played at Heritage Hills Country Club, and dry warm beds await you at Danbury Plaza Hotel. At Titicus Reservoir all through the summer months highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Titicus Reservoir. Camping  
   at Clarence Fahnestock State Park is always a perfect experience, and Tenmile has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Titicus Reservoir. While you're here at Titicus Reservoir you will meet lots of folks from nearby Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a great adventure. A lot of rain falls at Titicus Reservoir; during
 
               the month of May you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn MT. KISCO (WESTCHESTER COUNTY) is a nice spot to spend a night or two; brilliant skiing awaits you at Thunder Ridge.
In case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Norwalk River; Croton Falls Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Camp Kiwi is a delightful place to do that.

...l. I lived in the three story pink house on chestnut ridge rd.back in the late sixties ,and every Christmas the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. And back then we used to trick or treat all the way down to route six..camp sycamore well I still have my green card with the red paper wonder if its still good..the camp was but a lake ...

Do you have any pictures of camp henry?  My father went there in the 1920's.  The land was sold a while ago and now has a housing development on it....Lillian Wald had a camp on secor lake .Camp Henry.i am fortune enough to have been born on the block where Lillian started the henry street settlement. I am a 49yr who spent 10 summers of my life on lake secor 67-76..Actually I live in the settlement for 3 1/2 yrs. Amazing!...
