Having a good time at Timber Lake is easy. Get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Cattaraugus Creek - South Branch; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t       go skiing at Holimont while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Timber Lake you can take a hike along the Trail Number 9; Rainbow Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. All through the warm months highs here at Timber Lake get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Timber Lake. The amount of rainfall that                  falls at Timber Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain while February is generally the driest month.
