Going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake Tibet you'll almost certainly meet some people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, and Le Chambord is a tremendous place to get some rest. Lake Tibet is a wet place that gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the       year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most, and January is when it's the driest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. If you came to camp Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a splendid location to do that; paddling on Wappinger Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. There are good sites to discover along the Stillwell Lake Trail, needless to say you could also stop by Sagamore Lake while you're                  here; it's not far at all. Take a little journey to Black Pond Brook since you're here at Lake Tibet, and if you've had enough of Lake Tibet, Roaring Brook Lake is nearby. Through the warm months at Lake Tibet temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Lake Tibet dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Lake Tibet is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Kiwi is a magnificent local campground, and the peak of California Hill can be made out from Lake Tibet.
