Thurber Pond is always a pleasure to visit. All year is a wonderful time in the Adirondack Mountains if you love the outdoors. The panorama of Buck Mountain from Thurber Pond is beautiful, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hudson River. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Berrymile Pond Trail is tremendous fun; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Lost Pond Trail. So many fun things to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too great to be

| | true. If you came for an overnight stay Scenic View Campground is a fine location to camp, and Thurber Pond is not far at all from Glens Falls.
West Mountain has fine slopes and a friendly staff, and why not camp at Mohawk Campground while you're here at Thurber Pond. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Sagamore is a nice place to spend a night or two; Thurber Pond is not the only location nearby, The Three Ponds is a nearby lake. This lake | |

is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.
The amount of precipitation that falls at Thurber Pond is close to the national average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and January is
when it's the driest. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do in the neighborhood of Thurber Pond. If you're a golfer then a perfect nearby course is Top of the World Golf Course; if you need a location to stay Blue
Lagoon on Lake Georg is a wonderful choice. Summertime highs at Thurber Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's;
overnight lows in the 0's for Thurber Pond.
While you're here at Thurber Pond you can take a hike along the Treadway Mountain Trail. There are some good whitewater spots on Schroon River; a lake nearby is Sly Pond.
