So much fun stuff right next door to Thurber Pond, simply incredible. Nearby lakes? Sure, Inman Pond is in the vicinity of Thurber Pond; playing golf is lots of fun at Top of the World Golf Course. Thurber Pond gets a typical amount of precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the       amusing stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Skiing at West Mountain is one of those things you just should do, and Blue Lagoon on Lake Georg is a glorious place to get some rest. Going for a hike on the Treadway Mountain Trail is always a perfect adventure; if you need a place to stay The Sagamore is a magnificent choice. You're in all probability addicted to lakes, Lake Pond is one of those close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Thurber                  Pond has to offer, you can camp at Scenic View Campground. At Thurber Pond you always meet someone from Glens Falls. All year is a good time in the Adirondack Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. There is a glorious hiking trail near Thurber Pond called the Lost Pond Trail, and Thurber Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Mohawk Campground is a great place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Thurber Pond you can distinguish Buck Mountain; you can run the rapids of Schroon River. High temperatures at Thurber Pond throughout the summer months are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's while Thurber Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. The Berrymile Pond Trail is a perfect hiking trail close to Thurber Pond, and get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Hudson River.
