Lake Lauderdale is a great lake near Thurber Pond, and a fine nearby hotel is Hampton Inn Bennington. Throughout the days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Thurber Pond while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Thurber Pond. Thurber Pond is a good location       of common rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. There's so much to do here at Thurber Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a delightful site for that, and if you come at the right time of year, Batten Kill River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater                  spots on Hoosic River; why not take a refreshing hike along the Taconic Crest Trail. Cambridge Creek is near Thurber Pond and is always a diversion to visit, and the Healing Springs Nature Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Golden Pond is close by, and if you came to camp Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a splendid place to do that.
