New York has many beautiful lakes and Thomas Pond is one of them. The snow is good at Woods Valley, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Thomas Pond; Party Trail is a fine local trail. Thomas Pond generally gets a good deal of precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Looking for something in the vicinity of Thomas Pond? Pond is Black River, and Thomas Pond is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Trails End is a magnificent place to camp nearby. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Thomas Pond. You'll meet a lot of people
from Utica-Rome here, and delightful hiking is available along the Forty Mountain Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Beaver Meadow Creek, and there's pleasant hiking along the Stone Dam Trail.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you like skiing, you're in luck; McCauley Mountain is in the vicinity of Thomas Pond.
High temperatures at Thomas Pond throughout the summertime months
are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Thomas Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Thomas Pond has to
offer, you can camp at Trail's End Campground, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Utica is a nice site to spend a night or two.
