Go to Thomas Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Adirondack Mountains. Take a hike on the Forty Mountain Trail, and do check out Beaver Meadow Creek since you're here at Thomas Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop by Hinckley Reservoir since you're here at Thomas Pond; it's nearby, and a nice nearby hotel is Red Roof Inn Utica. Now, you may think that's lots but there's

| | even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Thomas Pond. Going for a hike along the Party Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Black River. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Stone Dam Trail is perfect fun; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Woods Valley. for a while, Trails End is a good spot for that, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Utica-Rome for sure. That right there is heaps of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all.
If you came to camp Trail's End Campground is a good place to do that, and in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Lake Margarite is just a very short distance away. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack
Mountains. Much precipitation falls at Thomas Pond; September is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Hit the slopes at McCauley Mountain in close proximity, and if you come at the right
time of year, Little Black Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. At Thomas Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. For the duration of
the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Thomas Pond are in the 0's. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Utica is a fine choice.
