Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Looking for some flowing water? Try Stewart Brook, and a golf course nearby is Bend of the River Golf Club. Third Lake is not far at all from Glens Falls; Sacandaga River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful.       This spot is so good, just check out all the fun things to do close to Third Lake. Paddling on Schroon River is so much fun, and Down Hill Campground is a nice local campground. If you came for an overnight stay Mt Kenyon Camp Ground is a pleasant location to camp, and Lake George Hotel is a delightful spot to get some rest. Summertime at Third Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. All                  through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Third Lake temperatures plunge to the 0's. From a rain point of view Third Lake is a pretty normal location; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; West Mountain is near Third Lake, and Bullhead Pond Mountain is a peak you can see from Third Lake. And if that's not enough there's lots more entertaining stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. You could also take a look at Second Lake while you're here at Third Lake; it's close by, and a glorious nearby hotel is Lake View Hotel and Conference Center. This lake is so wonderful.
