There's so much to do here at Tenant Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sacandaga Campground is a good place for that, and the skiing at Gore Mountain is pleasant. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. A lake nearby is Sand Lake; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on East Stony Creek. So much entertaining stuff next to Tenant Lake, absolutely fantastic. The Oregon Trail is a wonderful       hiking trail right next door to Tenant Lake, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Tenant Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. While you're here at Tenant Lake                  you will meet lots of folks from close by Gloversville, of course you could also explore Bullhead Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. The vista of delightful Sawyer Mountain near Tenant Lake is brilliant. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Tenant Lake has to offer, you can camp at Northhampton Beach Recreation. For the duration of the summer at Tenant Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
