Do go to Wheeler Pond in the neighborhood of Lake Tekeni, it's a charming lake; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by McCauley Mountain. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moose River - Middle Branch, and you'll find a beautiful lake called Okara Lakes. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Lake Tekeni will keep you coming back repeatedly.       A splendid panorama of charming Flatrock Mountain is available from Lake Tekeni, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail. And that's not everything you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Moose River; if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail. Summertime at Lake Tekeni comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the                  50's.
