This lake is so wonderful. The Schwartz Trail offers hiking at its best, and Saranac River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. Dry warm beds await you at Lake Placid Club Lodge, and Tefft Pond is right by the McKenzie Pond Trail. All the water falling       down from the sky makes Tefft Pond a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is August, and February meanwhile is the driest month. A day on the slopes of Mount Pisgah is just what you need. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff right next door to Tefft Pond. Head up to Whiteface Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Plattsburgh. That right there is loads of amusing stuff already                  but it goes on, the Adirondack Mountains has it all. There's good hiking along the Silver Lake Mountain Trail; you can stay the night at North Pole Campground. At Tefft Pond through the summertime highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and overnight lows at Tefft Pond throughout the winter commonly sink into the 0's. Silver Lake Brook flows through this region, and you have to beyond doubt dedicate some time to Keniston Meadows if you're here at Tefft Pond.
