The high level of precipitation makes Teakettle Spout Lake a rather wet location; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Le Chambord is a great  
   place to spend a night or two, and you can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Thunder Ridge. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Teakettle Spout Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Teakettle Spout Lake tend to be in the 10's.

               Fahnestock State Park since you're here at Teakettle Spout Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. The summit of Senior Hill can be observed from Teakettle Spout Lake, of course you could also stop at Glencoma Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Paddling on Wappinger Creek is so much fun, and an afternoon playing golf at Sanctuary Country Club is always a delight.
This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Camp Kiwi, and Mahopac Point is in close proximity and always delightful to stop by. Holiday Inn MT. KISCO (WESTCHESTER COUNTY) is a fine spot to get some rest, and there are great sites to explore along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.

...the people of the surrounding lk. There were none on the east side of the lake at the time. Well we would collect our Christmas trees around fifty or so and dig them into the ice about forty ft apart and make two rows . Then we would all set a time and light em,, and we would skate , fish ,whatever the lines of trees ran from the n.west dock to the east..the clam bakes were held at the other lk..haven just up the stream that ran along my house..After the dam broke from lk haven the water flooded down into our house..What a flood..seems after that we sold the house to a fireman ,,and then our course by accident the house burnt down ,,and I thought fireman were supposed to put out fires not start em .hello to all that still prevail on chestnut ridge. yea I also went to school with Henry Winkler.. Do you have any pictures of camp henry?  My father went there in the 1920's.  The land was sold a while ago and now has a housing development on it....Lillian Wald had a camp on secor lake .Camp Henry.i am fortune enough to have been born on the block where Lillian started the henry street settlement. I am a 49yr who spent 10 summers of my life on lake secor 67-76..Actually I live in the settlement for 3 1/2 yrs. Amazing!...
