After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Highland Falls is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two; the summit of Blackcap Mountain can be distinguished from Lake Te-Ata. This lake is so wonderful. Popolopen Creek is a       great whitewater spot close to Lake Te-Ata, and great skiing awaits you at Mt. Peter. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moodna Creek; a splendid site to camp here at Lake Te-Ata is Sebago Cabins Harriman. Lewis Brook is a stunning                  stream that is worth visiting; skiing at Sterling Forest is one of those things you just should do. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a perfect close by course is Central Valley Golf Club, and going for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. For the duration of the long summer days at Lake Te-Ata highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
