High temperatures at Taylor Pond through the summertime are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Head up to Hickory Ski Center and strap some skis to your feet; you'll meet a lot of people from Albany-Schenectady-Troy here. Dry warm       beds await you at Scotia Motel, and Mc Conchie Heritage Acres Camp Grounds is a delightful campground here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay L & M Motel is a tremendous choice; a splendid panorama of scenic Glenville Hill is available. Taylor Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world                  it would be. An afternoon playing golf at Pioneer Hills Golf Course is always a joy, and a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Schoharie Creek.
