North Pole Campground is a perfect site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Taylor Pond sits in the shade of the Wilmington Range, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Hearn Swamp is right close by. This spot rocks, just
look at all the amusing things to do right next door to Taylor Pond. Very charming scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Whiteface Mountain, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Saranac River.
