Stay the night at Alps Family Campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Taconic Skyline Trail. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Bousquet; do take a hike on the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. There are plenty of folks from Pittsfield here at Taplin Pond; you're possibly into lakes, Stone Bridge Pond is one of those close by. of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Poesten Kill River in a kayak, and explore close by Sabarney Gile Swamp.

 | this is a gREAt campground for people with children. They make you feel great about camping. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. I would recomended this campground 110 percent!!!!...alps is the most awesome place to camp.they offer everything and anything there. we saw what they did at the 4th of july and the kids loved it. I advice any parents that have have kids to take them there........they WON'T be disapointed... |

Jiminy Peak

Located in Hancock, MA, Jiminy Peak is capable of making snow on 93% of its terrain, and lighting 20 of its trails allowing for night skiing until 10pm. It is the home of the Berkshire Express, the region's only 6 passenger high-speed chairlift, which brings you to the summit in less than 5 minutes! The mountain is also served by 2 quads, 3 triples, a double, and two magic carpets.
In 2007, Jiminy Peak became the first ski resort to construct its own wind turbine on property, for the purpose of powering its operations. Named Zephyr, the turbine stands 386 feet tall, and produces about a third of the total energy requirements of the resort.
Jiminy Peak's Base Area includes a beautiful Village Center that addresses all of your needs. As you arrive and unload in the drop off area, you first notice the Paul Major welcome center. Inside you'll find the Guest Services desk, as well as a Renewable Energy Education Center.
