Lake Tamarack is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on West Canada Creek, and do take a hike on the California Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by McCauley Mountain. Lake Tamarack sees pretty high levels of rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain,

The warmest time of the year at Lake Tamarack comes with high temperatures in the 70's.
Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Lake Tamarack night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Forty Mountain Trail, and
let's not forget Little York Stream which is a stream that you may run into while here. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Tamarack has to offer, you can camp at Adirondack Gateway Campground,
and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Inns-Herkimer.
And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Lakes? Sure, Curtis Lake is in the vicinity; Lake Tamarack is right by the Party Trail.
