A visit to Lake Tamarack is always a good idea. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Tamarack a reasonably wet place; during August this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Man, is there a load of exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Americas Best Inns-Herkimer is a tremendous place to get some rest, and probably you're looking for close by lakes? the 0's. That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Lake Tamarack has it all. On a great day at Lake Tamarack you can take a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail, and West Canada Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling
spot close by.
