Many people like to go to Tamarack Pond. Tamarack Pond is not the only site nearby, Sutherland Pond is a nearby lake; Central Valley Golf Club is a golf course nearby. Mt. Peter has delightful slopes and a friendly staff, and magnificent hiking is available along the Stillwell Lake Trail. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area next to Tamarack Pond has to offer.

| | the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Tamarack Pond; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a tremendous local trail, and a wonderful close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny. Moodna Creek.
On a pretty day you get a sight of Black Rock from Tamarack Pond, and a great site to camp here at Tamarack Pond is Sebago Cabins Harriman. This lake is so wonderful. Near Tamarack Pond you discover Black Rock Hollow
which is a tremendous place to check out, and you can run the rapids of Popolopen Creek. For the period of the months of summer here at Tamarack Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down
to the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Tamarack Pond.
Really nice skiing awaits you at Sterling Forest; if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge West Point
is a splendid choice. Tamarack Pond in fact is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. The Woodtown Trail offers hiking at its best, and Tamarack Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Pond is a glorious local campground.
