A good deal of precipitation falls at Tamarack Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is commonly the driest month. Lakes are such calm locations, why not stop at Cedar Pond right next door to Tamarack Lake, and what would winter be without some skiing at Woods Valley. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Adirondack Mountains. On a magnificent day at Tamarack Lake you       can take a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail; whitewater paddling is great on Moose River - Middle Branch. Tamarack Lake is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Through the summer months highs here at Tamarack Lake get into the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Tamarack Lake all through the winter mostly dip into the 0's. You assume that's enough? Just getting                  warmed up. The sight of Bare Mountain from Tamarack Lake is gorgeous, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Stone Dam Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of McCauley Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and if you came for an overnight stay Singing waters Campground is a magnificent place to camp. If the weather is great here at Tamarack Lake, you can go for a hike along the Twin Lakes Trail; paddling on Moose River is so much fun. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining things. You'll stumble on a scenic lake called Grass Pond near Tamarack Lake, and if you're looking for some flowing water?
