Lake Taghkanic is a good place of common rainfall; May is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roeliff Jansen Kill River, and dry warm beds await you at St Charles Hotel. Going for a hike along the Elbow Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.       Everybody close by loves skiing at Catamount; a pleasant place to camp here at Lake Taghkanic is Camp Eagle Hill. There are plenty of folks from Hudson here at Lake Taghkanic, and an afternoon playing golf at Carvel Country Club is always a delight. You just have to love Lake Taghkanic. Lake Taghkanic is right by the Northrop Trail, and hiking along the Indian Trail is pleasant fun. Summertime highs at Lake Taghkanic regularly tend to be in the 80's; the                  nighttime is fairly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Lake Taghkanic. This lake is so wonderful.
