Beautiful Taconic Pond has much to offer visitors. You definitely have to love Taconic Pond. If you came to camp Aqua Vista Valley Campgrounds is a tremendous place to do that, and there's brilliant hiking along the Taconic Crest Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Jericho Valley Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and the Williams Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Taconic Pond during the warm days of summer
are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. During the winter the highs are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Taconic Pond dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
Skiing at Jiminy Peak is one of those things you just ought to do, and perfect hiking is available along the Southeast Hollow Trail. An average amount of rain falls at Taconic Pond; most of the rain falls throughout July while February is the month with

the least amount of precipitation. There's so much to do here at Taconic Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Broken Wheel Campground is a good location for that, and a lake nearby is South Long Pond.
If you need a site to stay Jiminy Peak is a delightful choice, and you can never get enough of the good skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club. You could also visit Dyken Pond if you're here at Taconic Pond; it's close by, and there are some great whitewater spots on Green River. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Hoosic River.

...ntil 10pm. It is the home of the Berkshire Express, the region's only 6 passenger high-speed chairlift, which brings you to the summit in less than 5 minutes! The mountain is also served by 2 quads, 3 triples, a double, and two magic carpets.

In 2007, Jiminy Peak became the first ski resort to construct its own wind turbine on property, for the purpose of powering its operations. Named Zephyr, the turbine stands 386 feet tall, and produces about a third of the total energy requirements of the resort.

Jiminy Peak's Base Area includes a beautiful Village Center that addresses all of your needs. As you arrive and unload in the drop off area, you first notice the Paul Major welcome center. Inside you'll find the Guest Services desk, as well as a Renewable Energy Education Center. Across the way, the conveniently located Burbank Children's Center is home to Jiminy's SkiWEE and Explorer programs, and the Cub's Den Playroom.
