Some close by water includes Alder Brook; you obtain a great sight of Curtis Mountain from here. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Jiminy Peak, and you can go for a hike on the Brickhouse Mountain Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Castleton on Hudson/Schodack. An average amount of rainfall falls at Tackawasick Lake; through the month       of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. Having a nice time at Tackawasick Lake is trouble-free. Alps Family Campground is a fine local campground, and there are glorious spots to discover along the Taconic Skyline Trail. Head up to Catamount and strap some skis to your feet, and glorious hiking is available along the Turner Trail. For the period of the long summer days at Tackawasick Lake highs are regularly in the 80's                  while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Tackawasick Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a wonderful close by course is Burden Lake Country Club; people from Hudson love to come here. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Poesten Kill River; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious choice.
