Crane Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. you don’t go skiing at Thunder Ridge since you're here, and Troutbeck Inn is a glorious spot to get some rest.
The top of Fox Hill is easily spotted from Swift Pond, and drift down the rapids of Ten Mile River in a kayak. Go for
a hike on the Indian Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Housatonic River; why not camp at Lake Waramaug State Park while you're here at Swift Pond.
Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Swift
Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Swift Pond.
