Swede Pond is a location with many visitors from Glens Falls. A splendid nearby hotel is The Sagamore; Brookwood RV Resorts is a great campground nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Swede Pond. Lakes are great; North Pond is a lake that's next to Swede Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Green Acres By The       Brook is a tremendous location to camp. An average amount of rain falls at Swede Pond; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most; January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Swede Pond, you can go for a hike along the Berrymile Pond Trail; a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is La Chute River.                  But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Putnam Creek, and not far from Swede Pond you'll locate Wintergreen Lake which is a gorgeous lake. The sight of lovely Barton Mountain near Swede Pond is glorious, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Treadway Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Swede Pond typically tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows at Swede Pond all through the wintertime mostly fall into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains.
