Summer brings highs in the 80's to Swartwont Lake with nighttime lows in the 60's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Swartwont Lake. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Swartwont Lake. A day on the slopes of Sterling Forest is just what you need. Why not camp at Kaufmann Henry Campgrounds while you're here at Swartwont Lake, and since       you're here you can take a hike along the Breakneck Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail, and while you're here, you could go to Toms Brook. Be careful coming to Swartwont Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. There are some nice whitewater spots on Popolopen Creek, and a magnificent spot to visit is Long Clove. Swartwont Lake gets lots of water; July is the month that gets the most rain, and                  the driest of the months is February. You're in all probability addicted to lakes, Rockland Lake is one of those close by, and camping is available at Trailmark Outdoor Adventures. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Manhattan Woods Golf Club is always a joy; perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Congers Lake is just a very short distance away. You are near Verdrietege Hook if you're here at Swartwont Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Moodna Creek.
