All through the summertime months highs here at Sutherland Pond reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 30's with winter lows       in the 10's overnight here at Sutherland Pond. Good hiking is available along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and do explore Roe Pond, it's a picturesque lake. Camping is available at Sebago Cabins Harriman; if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Ft Montgomery, Ny is a tremendous choice. Sutherland Pond is a reasonably wet place mostly with lots of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain,                  and February meanwhile is the driest month. Soar down the rapids of Moodna Creek in a kayak, and Black Rock Hollow is in the vicinity, and is a great location. So much cool stuff to do here at Sutherland Pond, too great to be true. A day on the slopes of Mt. Peter is just what you need, and on a beautiful day you acquire a magnificent vista of Black Rock from Sutherland Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Central Valley Golf Club is a good golf course close by, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge West Point is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Sutherland Pond without first going for a hike along the Stillwell Lake Trail, and you'll find a beautiful lake called Lake Massawippa.
