The high level of rainfall makes Lake Sunset a rather wet site; most of the rain falls throughout May, and February is the month with the least moisture. During the summertime, highs usually are in the 70's at Lake Sunset while nighttime lows are generally in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's,       and night lows all through the wintertime for Lake Sunset tend to be in the 10's. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Lake Sunset is unbeatable! Playing golf is lots of fun at Apple Golf Course, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge New Paltz. This lake is so wonderful. The Comfort Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lake Sunset, and Newburgh/New York City N KOA is a good local campground. The best way to spend a winter                  day is on the slopes of close by Sterling Forest, and not far from Lake Sunset you'll locate Orange Lake which is a scenic lake. K O A-hudson Valley Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and people from Kingston love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wallkill River. Lakes are perfect; Chaddwick Lake is a lake that's near Lake Sunset.
