Many people like to go to Sunset Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A charming lake like Morgan Lake close to Sunset Lake is a delightful site to check out; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wappinger Creek. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Lake a rather wet place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
Sunset Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Interlake Farm Campground is a tremendous
local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Poughkeepsie. During the summer months highs here at Sunset Lake get into the 70's with overnight lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; night lows throughout the wintertime for Sunset Lake tend to be in the 10's.
