While you're here at Summit Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Cortland; Greek Peak is a magnificent local ski area. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great earth it would be. There are other places here than Summit Pond, for example Rightmire Pond; there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Sixmile Creek. High temperatures at Summit Pond during the warmest time       of the year are in the 70's; the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Summit Pond are in the 10's. Alexander Lake is a pleasant lake near Summit Pond, and Rawson Hollow is a tremendous site to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. Summit Pond is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Yogi's Deer Run Campground is a wonderful location to camp nearby.                  This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Cortland, Ny is a good choice; Hill Top Lake Campground is a great campground nearby. Summit Pond is a good location of normal rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is January. If you're here at Summit Pond and you like golf, you can stop by Newark Valley Golf Course, and on a pretty day you acquire a fine sight of Nixon Hill from Summit Pond.
