Summit Pond is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular location for people from Ogdensburg-Massena. While you're here at Summit Pond you can take a hike along the Big Deer Pond Trail; there's whitewater on Oswegatchie River - East Branch for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. Summit Pond is a good place to camp, Cape Woods Campground is a good place,       and you can run the rapids of Oswegatchie River - East Branch. Summit Pond in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Salmon Lake Trail, and Robinson's Iga is a splendid campground here. Looking for something near Summit Pond? Clear Lake is nearby, and going for a hike along the Norridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. All year is a great time in the Adirondack Mountains if                  you go for the outdoors. Head up to McCauley Mountain and strap some skis to your feet, and at Summit Pond you can spot Summit Mountain. From a rainfall point of view Summit Pond is a rather normal spot; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is February. During the months of summer here at Summit Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Summit Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Adirondack Mountains.
