Summit Lake is not far at all from Glens Falls, and paddling on Fish Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Glens Falls/Queensbury Super 8 Motel is a pleasant site to get some rest. Lakes are nice; Cossayuna Lake is a lake that's near Summit Lake. Summertime highs at Summit Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the       20's, and night lows in the 0's for Summit Lake. Summit Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a good local campground; a day on the slopes of West Mountain is just what you need. A perfect place to camp here at Summit Lake is Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping, and after a long day outdoors Six Flags Great Escape Lodge is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. You're probably hooked                  on lakes, The Old Fly is one of those nearby, and whitewater paddling is good on Batten Kill River. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Swamps like Shaw Fly in the vicinity of Summit Lake make for glorious places to check out, and why not head up to Willard Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Summit Lake mostly gets a lot of precipitation; May is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
