All through the summer at Summit Lake highs are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Summit Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Camping is available at Mountain View Campground, and if you're here, you could also stop at beautiful Gardner Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Crystal Lake Park and       Campground is a good place to camp; a pleasant nearby hotel is The Village Motel. Summit Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Stonegate Golf Course, and there are plenty of folks from Oneonta here. Rosemont Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Zimmerman Pond.
