So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. There's so much to do here at Sucker Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Adirondack Gateway Campground is a delightful site for that, and if you're here, you could also stop at picturesque Beaverdam Pond. Sucker Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Sucker       Pond. Get soaked paddling on West Canada Creek; if you like swamps you're in luck, Mile Vly is right close by. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Sucker Pond reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's, and night lows during the winter for Sucker Pond tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Knights Inn Little Falls is a pleasant spot to get                  some rest. This site, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Go for a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit West Canada Creek - South Branch. Sucker Pond gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. Stay the night at OLD Forge Camping Resort, and why not visit close by Big Brook while you're here at Sucker Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Sucker Pond without first going for a hike along the California Trail, and the skiing at McCauley Mountain is good.
