Going for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail is always a delightful adventure, and on a wonderful day you acquire a brilliant sight of Panther Mountain from Sucker Lake. The yearly precipitation here at Sucker Lake is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. There are magnificent sites to explore along the The Loop,       and playing golf is lots of fun at Sayles John M Memorial Golf Course. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Little River, and after a long day outdoors Best Western University Inn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Sucker Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 20's with temperatures at Sucker Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter                  nights. Near Sucker Lake you come across the Post Henderson Trail which is a splendid hiking trail; Sucker Lake is a location with many visitors from Ogdensburg-Massena. Be careful coming to Sucker Lake, you might not ever want to return home again.
