This lake is so wonderful. While you're here
at Sturgeon Pool you can take a hike along the Kanape Jeep Trail; Rondout Creek is a fine whitewater spot nearby. Places like Rosendale Plains are glorious to stop by, and the Phoenicia Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Wallkill
Valley is a nice site to stop by in the vicinity of Sturgeon Pool; do pop by Swarte Kill since you're here at Sturgeon Pool.
