Stonystep Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Stonystep Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains. The amount of rain that falls at Stonystep Pond is close to the national average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's delightful hiking along the Sucker Brook Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Mountain Lake Inn, and you can stay

| | the night at Hoss's Country Campground. Having a tremendous time in the Adirondack Mountains is trouble-free. A good spot for whitewater paddling near Stonystep Pond is Cedar River, and one of the major marks of the surroundings of Stonystep Pond is Bad Luck Mountain. Adirondack Mountains has to offer. Go for a hike on the Northville Lake Placid Trail; Stonystep Pond is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Cedar Pond Campground is a pleasant location to camp nearby. What a site this
is for outdoors folks. Don't leave Stonystep Pond without first going for a hike along the Oregon Trail, and a day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting drenched,
you can always go whitewater paddling on Indian River; Carter Pond is a fine lake nearby. High temperatures at Stonystep Pond all through the summer are in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down
into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Stonystep Pond temperatures dip to the 0's.
