What a nice lake Stone Dam Lake is. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. Summertime at Stone Dam Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Stone Dam Lake fall into the 0's. Gotta ski! Woods Valley is a good location to do that.

| | Don't miss out on a delightful swamp; Quagmire Swamp is right here at Stone Dam Lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Big Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Woodhull Creek is so much fun; on a nice day you can take a hike along the Forty Mountain Trail. All year is a glorious time in the Adirondack Mountains if you adore the outdoors. by is Buck Pond. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains, too nice to be true. The Twin Lakes Trail is a nice hiking trail in the vicinity of Stone Dam Lake, and a great spot to camp here at Stone Dam Lake
is Kayuta Lake Campground. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of McCauley Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and camping is available at Trail's End Campground. A large amount of rain falls at Stone Dam Lake; the wettest
month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. Stone Dam Lake in fact is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Don't leave Stone Dam Lake without first
paying a visit to Mulchy Spring, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Stone Dam Trail. Whitewater paddling is fine on Black River, and here at Stone Dam Lake you can observe Stone Dam Mountain.
