A lake nearby is Page Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Sidney. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Oquaga Creek State Park, and if you need a       place to stay Howard Johnson Hotel - Norwich is a fine choice. Broome State Forest is a great forest vicinity right next door to Stilson Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Bowman Creek offers some glorious whitewater. For the duration of the warm days of summer here at Stilson Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with                  temperatures at Stilson Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Stilson Pond has it all. An afternoon playing golf at Afton Golf Club is always a pleasure, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Elk Mountain is rather near.
