Croton Dam is charming and it's near Still Lake, and Camp Echo Lake is a delightful local campground. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Still Lake. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a fine location to spend a night or two; if you're a golfer then a magnificent nearby course is Trump National Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Still Lake without first       going for a hike along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail; Echo Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Stillwell Lake Trail, and if you're popping by from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, you won't be the only one. At Still Lake you can catch a sight of Bald Mountain; Edith Macy Conference Center is a pleasant place to get some rest. Still Lake is a relatively wet place generally with a lot of rainfall; the month of                  May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is January. The skiing at Thunder Ridge is tremendous; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Popolopen Creek. Do visit Shadow Lake close to Still Lake, it's a gorgeous lake; going for a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a great adventure. Why not camp at Camp Discovery while you're here at Still Lake. For the period of the months of summer at Still Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's.
