While you're here at Stever Pond you can take a hike along the Elbow Trail. There's so much to do here at Stever Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Taghkanic is a magnificent place for that. St Charles Hotel is a wonderful location to get some rest, and High Falls is an inspiring site to visit while you're here. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Indian       Trail. Do stop by Moore Pond close to Stever Pond, it's a stunning lake, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kinderhook Creek. The amount of rain that falls at Stever Pond is close to the national average; most of the rain falls through May; January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. It's a pleasant idea to check out Agawamuck Creek, it's near Stever Pond, and during your journey here you'll                  meet some folks from Hudson for sure. During the long summer days at Stever Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Stever Pond. Roeliff Jansen Kill River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Stever Pond has to offer, you can camp at Oleana Family Camp Grounds.
