The beauty of Lake Stevens is reason enough to stop by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. North Pole Campground is a glorious campground nearby, and nice skiing awaits you at Whiteface Mountain. Summertime highs at Lake Stevens commonly tend to be in the 70's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. This lake is so wonderful. On a beautiful day you get a sight of Esther Mountain from Lake Stevens, and after a long day outdoors Lake Placid Club Lodge is a good site to spend a night or two. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The Stephenson Range towers over Lake Stevens; Mirror Lake Inn is a nice place to get some rest. The Schwartz Trail offers hiking at its best;
Mount Pisgah has nice slopes and a friendly staff.
Lake Stevens is a good spot of typical rain; most of the rain falls through August, and February is when it's the driest.
