    If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Squirrel Ponds. Squirrel Ponds is located in the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking along the Forty Mountain Trail is tremendous fun, and unsurprisingly, this is a good neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Chub Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. So much fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. Coleman Dam is a striking place close to Squirrel Ponds; on a lovely day you acquire a tremendous  
   sight of Neejer Hill from Squirrel Ponds.
At Squirrel Ponds all through the warm months highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 20's; night lows at Squirrel Ponds all through the winter usually descend into the 0's. Paddling on Moose River - Middle Branch is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Woods Valley; Squirrel Ponds is right
 
               by the Stone Dam Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Middle Branch Moose River is right next door to Squirrel Ponds and is always a diversion to pop by, and a delightful swamp near Squirrel Ponds is Granny Marsh. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Squirrel Ponds. Get dripping wet paddling on Moose River, and skiing at McCauley Mountain is one of those things you just should do. All the water falling down from the sky makes Squirrel Ponds a wet place; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February.
Take a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail, and why not camp at Cold Brook Campsites since you're here at Squirrel Ponds. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains. Singing waters Campground is a pleasant local campground. Lakes are great; Lake Easka is a lake that's in close proximity to Squirrel Ponds.
