If you like lakes and you're in this part of New York you can check out Spy Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Adirondack Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Sucker Brook Trail, and Spy Lake is a delightful spot to camp, Royal Mountain Campsites is a delightful spot. A splendid vista of delightful Mud Lake Mountain is available from Spy Lake, and don't leave Spy Lake without first going for a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail.

| | The high level of precipitation makes Spy Lake a relatively wet spot; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Spy Lake. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Lake is close to Spy Lake, and camping at Spy Lake is tremendous fun, Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a tremendous local campground. | |

This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Sand Lake Outlet is a stream you can check out while you're here, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Oxbow Lake
Motel.
But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. While you're here at Spy Lake you should stop at Higgins Bay, and there are plenty of folks from Gloversville here. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down
the rapids of Piseco Outlet in a kayak. All through the summer here at Spy Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's
while Spy Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.
After a long day outdoors Water's Edge Cabins & Motels is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, Sacandaga River - West Branch offers some perfect whitewater.
