There's some flowing water close by, Sand Lake Outlet is a stream you can stop at while here; do take a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Much rain falls at Spy Lake; through the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Taking a little visit to nearby Higgins Bay is       a splendid idea, and if you come at the right time of year, Sacandaga River - West Branch offers some glorious whitewater. During the days of summer highs here at Spy Lake get into the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Spy Lake tend to be in the 0's. During your spree to Spy Lake you'll meet some people from Gloversville for sure, and float down the                  rapids of Piseco Outlet in a kayak. This place, the Adirondack Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. A lake close by is Little Lake, and Mud Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a fine local campground; why not take a refreshing hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Adirondack Mountains.
