Brookwood RV Resorts is a good campground nearby, and the Rock Pond Trail offers hiking at its best. Get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Schroon River; you'll discover a picturesque lake called Berrymill Pond. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is plentiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. Green Acres By The Brook is a nice local campground, and good hiking is available       along the Berrymile Pond Trail. Springhill Ponds gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel; hiking is a popular thing to do around Springhill Ponds; Treadway Mountain Trail is a fine local trail. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Springhill Ponds is excellent!                  Barton Mountain is simple to spot from Springhill Ponds, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Putnam Creek. Summer at Springhill Ponds comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Springhill Ponds temperatures sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
