The snow is great at Mt. Peter. Visit Beaver Pond Brook if you're here at Spring Pond, and the Ramapo-Dunderberg Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Throughout the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Spring Pond. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Spring Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.       All the water falling down from the sky makes Spring Pond a wet location; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. If only every place had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it would be. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Suffern, Ny is a tremendous choice; there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Torne Mount Ivy Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Sterling Forest, and float down the rapids of Popolopen Creek in a kayak. Paddling on Ramapo River is so much fun, and Green Swamp is a swamp near Spring Pond. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in close proximity to Spring Pond. Camping at Robert Moses is always a perfect experience, and a golf course close by is Spook Rock Golf Course. Spring Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Camp wabenaki is a great local campground, and there are other places here than Spring Pond, for example Lake Askoti. On a splendid day it's a great idea to spend the day at Old Sebago Beach, and dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Inn. This lake is so wonderful.
