Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Rock River; you can go for a hike on the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. Sprague Brook flows through this area, and Long Lake Camp is a great local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Sprague Pond a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This       lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. All the outdoors cool things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Sprague Pond called the Northville Lake Placid Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Hoss's Country Campground is a magnificent site to camp. Be careful coming to Sprague Pond, you might not ever want to return home again. Cedar River has a magnificent whitewater                  paddling spot nearby, and if you get bored of Sprague Pond you could also explore nearby Stephens Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Sprague Pond is not the only place nearby, Lake Durant is a nearby lake, and going for a hike on the Sucker Brook Trail is always a good adventure. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a good time. Gore Mountain is a very popular ski area nearby. Summertime at Sprague Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
