Stephens Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and if you come at the right time of year, Rock River offers some brilliant whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Sprague Brook next to Sprague Pond is a great idea, and if you came to camp Long Lake Camp is a great location to do that. Sprague Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of August is       the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Having a magnificent time in the Adirondack Mountains is easy. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Gore Mountain. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Hiking along the Northville Lake Placid Trail is perfect fun, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cedar River. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the Adirondack                  Mountains has to offer. A lake close by is Lake Durant, and going for a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. High temperatures at Sprague Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sprague Pond.
