Spectacle Ponds is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. At Spectacle Ponds through the summertime highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Spectacle Ponds through the winter mostly dip into the 0's.       This lake is so wonderful. Very stunning scenery and nice skiing is what you get at West Mountain, and if you need a place to stay The Sagamore is a splendid choice. Why not camp at Green Acres By The Brook since you're here at Spectacle Ponds, and do go to Bumps Pond, it's a charming lake. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. You'll meet a lot of people from Glens Falls here, and if you came for an overnight stay Scenic View                  Campground is a tremendous location to camp. Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do near Spectacle Ponds. The Sagamore is a great site to get some rest, and a pretty lake like Fishbrook Pond is a great place to pop by. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Hudson River, and Erebus Mountain is a peak you can make out from Spectacle Ponds. Having a great time in the Adirondack Mountains is easy. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Willard Mountain while you're here, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Berrymile Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Treadway Mountain Trail is always a good adventure; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Mettawee River.
