While you're here at Spectacle Pond you can take a hike along the Berrymile Pond Trail, and obviously, this is a delightful area for folks who like lakes, Vanderburg Pond is a lake close at hand. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. If you need a place to stay Blue Lagoon on Lake Georg is a wonderful choice; you're probably addicted to lakes, Spruce Pond is one       of those close by. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains. Spectacle Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Adirondack Camp is a perfect place to camp nearby, and unsurprisingly Pike Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Lost Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and you can stay the night at Green Acres By The Brook. Summertime                  highs at Spectacle Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Spectacle Pond. And if that's not enough there's heaps more exciting things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Poultney River, and people from Glens Falls love to come here. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Spectacle Pond. Dry warm beds await you at The Sagamore, and if you wish for a little side visit, try Big Notch. Spectacle Pond is a good site of normal rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and January on the other hand is the driest. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Valley View Golf Course, and a short trip to Cold Spring is always worthwhile. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Spectacle Pond. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mettawee River, and The Diameter can be made out from Spectacle Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
